Royal Approval for the British International School of Ljubljana uniforms!

Her Majesty The Queen was entertained by the pupils of the new British International School in Ljubljana on her recent state visit to Slovenia. On her subsequent walkabout in Ljubljana, The Queen remarked how smart she considered the children’s uniform.
Like all royal visits, a huge amount of work was hidden behind the brief occasion.
'Besides the days and days of rehearsal for our presentation to Her Majesty, I was also very anxious that all the children looked their best’ explains the school head, Jeremy Hibbins. 'Our school uniform supplier, Schoolwear International, actually took the trouble to visit the school the previous week with mountains of stock to make sure every child could look their best. Her Majesty’s kind comment certainly suggests it was worth it!’
He continues 'I was very impressed with Schoolwear International’s commitment by attending, entirely at their own cost, to make sure everyone looked their best. It was also a good opportunity to look at and discuss some new ideas for garments for our uniform. We are now introducing a fleece embroidered with our crest – and very smart it looks too. Indeed some parents have even bought one for themselves!’
Schoolwear International provides a comprehensive service in uniforms for British international schools and, for director Graham Michelli, the visit to Ljubljana was all part of the service.
'Rather than deal over the web or through the school, it seemed appropriate to have a day at school where parents could be sure they had everything they needed for the big day. It was certainly a very busy day!’ Michelli comments. 'It was also a pleasure to meet so many of the parents; they are our customers yet we normally almost never meet them in person!’
But, for Schoolwear International, the pressures of a royal visit did not end there.
'Her Majesty’s next port of call was Slovakia and, you guessed it, we also supply uniform to a local retailer for the British International School in Bratislava and so there was work to do to make sure the shop had everything they needed for the children as well. It was all a bit hectic but very rewarding to see the children looking so great’ says Michelli.
